For this feature on shady entrepreneur Justin Sun, the Verge art team spent months working together on this multimedia layout. I was responsible for storyboarding, 3D modeling, assisting in studio, and additional retouching.

We loved the idea of staging escape scenes at a miniature scale, so we referenced model train size standards and got 3d prints made of our custom character. We then shot them with other practical models in studio, which allowed greater creative freedom and last-minute changes.

The team had a great time on this project and we’re very proud of the result. The extra mile to shoot these practically provided the final images with a tangible texture and feel.
